@ 494 The consequences of conjecture 6:148
6:148 The idolaters will say, 'Had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have associated (idols), nor would we have forbidden anything.' As such, those who have gone before them belied until they tasted Our Might. Say, 'Have you any knowledge you can bring forth to us? You follow nothing but guessing and you are only speakers of conjecture.'
# سَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكْنَا وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّى ذَاقُوا بَأْسَنَا قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَا إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ تَخْرُصُونَ 148
6:149 Say, 'Allah alone has the conclusive proof. Had He willed, He would have guided you all.'
# قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ الحُجَّةُ البَالِغَةُ فَلَوْ شَاءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 149
6:150 Say, 'Bring those witnesses of yours who can testify that Allah has forbidden this.' If they testify to it, do not testify with them, nor follow the wishes of those who belie Our verses, and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life and ascribe equals to their Lord.
# قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَذَا فَإِن شَهِدُوا فَلاَ تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْواءَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ 150
